Roby reacts to Obama's State of the Union

District 2 Congresswoman Martha Roby issued the following statement after President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address on Tuesday night:

"President Obama has repeatedly stated his intent to rein in spending actions, however, actions speak louder than words. And what we have seen over the last two years are record deficits averaging more than a trillion dollars annually."

Eclectic’s longest serving councilman, Thomas Caldwell, resigned last Friday just hours after watching Helen Rowe sworn in as Eclectic’s new mayor.

Caldwell had served as acting mayor for three months since Gary Wright’s resignation on Aug. 3. Caldwell was the town’s longest serving councilman,?representing Eclectic’s citizens for the last 34 years.
