Cow Patty Trot

The FFA Chapter and Cross Country Team at Holtville High School present the Slapout Cow Patty Trot 5K and 1 mile fun run from Holtville High School through Slapout/Holtville. The 5k will begin at 8:00 a.m. followed by the 1 mile fun run. The awards Ceremony and door prize drawing will begin immediately following the 1 mile run.

Montgomery, Ala. — More than 200 live music venues and 17 attractions are listed in the tourism brochure, “100 places to hear live music in Alabama." The publication was unveiled  during the Year of Alabama Music press conference at the Jazz Hall of Fame in Birmingham.

Some of the venues listed in the brochure include Birmingham’s Old Car Heaven, Bottletree and Ona’s Music Room, Anniston’s Peerless Saloon, Little Willie’s in Tuscaloosa, The Hangout and Lulu’s in Gulf Shores, Veets and Dahlia’s Electric Piano Hall in Mobile, Tuscumbia’s Rattlesnake Saloon, On the Rocks in Florence and the Alley Bar in Montgomery.

National evangelist brings youth outreach worship service to central Alabama
Montgomery, AL – Dr. William Larkin and the Christian Methodist Episcopal Churches of the River Region invite children, youth, youth performers, and all area ministries to be a part of the Reach, Anoint, & emPower Youth Revival.

With invited local youth and performers and a nationally recognized evangelist and hip hop performer, the event is targeted at expressing the many faces and forms of worship and freeing the energy of youth culture in the church. The program will span several days and services will be held all over the area, reaching out to children and teens with an exciting, youth-centered worship led by Rev. Dwayne GoLightly, aka Rev. Rap. The event will finish with a Saturday afternoon gospel rap concert featuring Rev. Rap.
