Southside Middle School students, along with students from Baldwin, Floyd, Carver, and Brewbaker middle schools in Montgomery and several private schools, were among the schools in attendance at the annual Montgomery Symphony Orchestra "Sixth Grade Concert" presentation last week.  The concert is held at the Alabama State University Dunn-Oliver Acadome.

Invitations are sent out by the Symphony to all schools in the River Region each February.  Ms. Helen Steineker is the Manager of the Montgomery Symphony, and the organization of these concerts involves many hours of planning on her part.  She is aided by several volunteer coordinators who are members of the Montgomery Symphony League.
