Tallassee students meet original Tuskegee Airman | Community Spirit

TALLASSEE, AL (WSFA) - Students at Tallassee High School were treated to a special program Wednesday in commemoration of Black History Month.

They got to meet Col. Herbert E. Carter, one of the original Tuskegee Airmen!

Col. Carter came to speak to the students after the idea came to Kandy and Zach Gantt, students who know Mr. Carter.

The students also listened to the Tuskegee Choir as they sang during the event.

School officials handed out small American flags before the program started, and students made sure they were waving.
